Important Dates:

• Submission of Abstracts (1.000 words): extended to 31 January 2011
• Notification of Acceptance: 28 February 2011
• Final Camera Ready Submission: 30 April 2011.

The main theme of the Joint Symposium will be

“Sustainability and Quality-of-Life in Tourism: Tasks for Consumers,
Industry, Policy and Academia.”

The International Academy of Culture, Tourism and Hospitality Research
(IACTHR), based in Charleston, SC, continues with its series of biennial
symposia on the Consumer Psychology of Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure.

After the inaugural meeting in Hilo, Hawaii, in 1998 and the consecutive
Symposia in Vienna, Melbourne, Montreal and Charleston the Academy decided
to move into Asian territory to announce its 7th conference

in Chiang Mai, Thailand
May 24 – 27, 2011
at Imperial Mae Ping Hotel.

This time the Symposium will be jointly held with the

2nd International Symposium on Sustainable Tourism Management

hosted and organized by the School of Tourism Development, Maejo University.

Please reserve the dates and consider the Call for Papers attached
(deadline for paper submissions: January 31, 2011) where you find topics
and perspectives to be addressed.

The conference will start with a PhD workshop on May 24 and continues with
3 days of keynote presentations, paper and poster presentations and an
attractive social program.
