Interdisciplinary PhD studentships in China Studies
Durham University’s Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies is pleased to announce two inter-disciplinary PhD studentships funded by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health to be held from 2010. The studentships will examine different aspects of China’s increasing responsibility in international and corporate affairs. The subjects and the supervising departments will be: ‘China and International Responsibility in Africa’ (School of Government and International Affairs; and Geography); ‘China and Corporate Social Responsibility’ (Law School; and Business School). Please note in particular the following details:
the studentships will cover international fees only and students must be prepared to meet all other expenses;
the studentships are for applicants from China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan only who already hold relevant Masters degrees.
The closing date for applications is 4 September 2008; and successful candidates will be notified by September 22 2008. We regret it will not be possible to notify unsuccessful candidates.
